The institute vivarium is scientific-assisting department. It is for breeding and maintenance of laboratory animals.

In the vivarium there are up to 100 rabbits, 1000-1500 rats of WAG, AUG lines, 1500-2000 mice of BALB/c; C₅₇Bl; CBA; C₃H lines; up to 20 guinea pigs and up to 100 golden hamsters. 7 technicians, including the vivarium head treat and look after the animals.

The vivarium is a one-store building, with the territory about 500 m². There are special rooms for keeping laboratory animals and assisting rooms: food preparation station; operation-room, changing room for service staff; shower.
